What a day spent with one of my closest girls in the city I call home, where I was born and raised, and where I still reside, Los Angeles. It's always fun roaming the streets of your city like a tourist and seeing it from a new lense. Walking the streets of Hollywood Blvd is such a tourist thing to do as I've only done it a total of three times, despite being an LA Native. I recommend at least doing it once.
The day started with brunch at The Griddle Cafe, the REAL House of Pancakes. No seriously, they serve giant pancakes in all kinds of delicious flavors. Honestly, I would definitely rebrand their name to Willy Wonka and the Pancake Factory if I could. Anyway, excuse the tangent. That’s not why we are here.
After brunch, we stopped at American Apparel on Hollywood Blvd and I bought this striped belt for literally only $0.30 in their going out of business sale. I know right? Sad. Bye bye American Apparel. It's been real and there will never be another like ya. The good news is they rebranded for a second chance after bankruptcy and now we can order online at Los Angeles Apparel or on Amazon.
Next stop? Zara. Yeee! Despite the fact my friend and I were in one of the largest international fashion companies full of beautiful fabrics, people could not help but to notice her stunning outfit she was wearing. Of course they wanted to know where she got it from and it was so satisfying hearing her say, "I made it" EVERY time. How empowering and inspirational. Shop ArtbyOpal for wall art, bath decor, electronic cases, and stationary. Also, check out Opal’s music. You won't regret it.
So needless to say, we had a blast in Zara and I purchased this beautiful denim crop top with a frayed detail piece over the left shoulder to replace the white bodysuit I was wearing from Missguided. It went perfectly with the denim skirt I was wearing. And voila! Complete new outfit and I was ready to take on more of my city. Totally felt like we were in the movie, Clueless meets Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. Next, I grabbed a white rose and put it behind my ear. Now pose for the camera - click click click. Wait, hold up. Now shake it like a polaroid picture! I did not want to take this outfit off. Not even kidding, there was no way I was taking it off, so to dinner I went. All I had to do was a shoe change from strappy sandals to Stan Smith Adidas for a casual outting on the town. This style made for the perfect day to night outfit. Find out what I ordered for dinner at Zinque in West Hollywood.
